Cherry Limeade Sonic
If you love those famous drinks from Sonic, then I have the perfect recipe for you today! I’m sharing how to make your very own Cherry Limeade at home!
You’ll only need a few ingredients to make this drink recipe. For the best results, I suggest using pebble or nugget ice if you can find it or make it yourself at home. Along with that, you’ll need maraschino cherries and their juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and lemon-lime soda.
This recipe is so refreshing and easy, you’ll want to enjoy it all year long! This drink is popular with adults and kids alike.
If you want to change things up a bit, you can throw everything in the blender along with the ice for more of a slushy consistency. Or, if you prefer a more adult drink option, try adding vodka (or cherry vodka!) or rum to your beverage!
Let me show you how easy it is to make …
Cherry Limeade recipe FAQs
➡️ Does Cherry Limeade have caffeine?
No. This recipe does not contain any caffeine. None of the ingredients needed to make this drink have caffeine.
➡️ What’s in Sonic Cherry Limeade?
For this recipe, you will need maraschino cherries and their juice, lime juice, simple syrup (basically a sugar-water mixture used to sweeten drinks), and some kind of lemon-lime soda. And ice – don’t forget the ice! 😊
➡️ What alcohol goes well with cherry limeade?
I think vodka – especially cherry vodka – would be a good choice. Rum is another yummy choice.
➡️ Can this be made ahead?
Yes! You can go ahead and mix all of the ingredients – minus the soda – in the pitcher and keep it refrigerated for up to 5 days. When ready to serve, add the soda and give it a stir before pouring the drink mixture over ice.

I plan on making this delicious-looking recipe. Thanks. I would like to keep some simple syrup o hand. How long does simple syrup last in the refrigerator?

I would say about 2-3 weeks.

Sonic uses lime concentrate, cherry syrup – like what you can get from Amoretti, sprite, limes and cherries for garnish.
